Needle 2 – k1, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2
Needle 3 - k2, p2, k10, p1

Start Thumb Gusset:
You need to add 16 stitches. In every third round you M1 after the 14th st on Needle 4 and after the first
stitch on needle 1. Knit those extra stitches in pattern I, keeping it correct. After you have finished making
new stitches, knit 2 more rounds – following pattern I and pattern II. Then put the last 9 stitches on needle 4
and the first 9 stitches on needle 1 onto a stitchholder/scrap yarn. You now have to CO 2 more stitches
(backward loop method) at the end of needle 4.
Go on knitting in rounds as before, palm in pattern I and back of hand in pattern II until you have finished 60
rounds in pattern (6 pattern repeats). Now BO as mentioned above (or use your usual BO).
Make thumb: Put the 18st from holders onto three needles, pick up 2 more stitches from the two CO
stitches. Knit 10 rounds following pattern I, BO.
Make second writwarmer – don’t forget to put thumb onto other side.
